Firefly

If people have never watched this before, they really need to.

It's a great, fun show filled with top notch writing and characters. The acting is great, the stories are fun and clever and the universe of the show is vast and diverse.

It's a real shame this series didnt' go on. It's definitely better than the most recent Joss Whedon show, Dollhouse.

Anyway, highest recommendation. My wife's watching this again while she's painting her pewter miniatures (one of her hobbies), and I sat down and took in a few eps with her. Good times.

Buffy, Angel, Firefly...man, Whedon did some good stuff back in the day.

Loved it, shame it got canceled. Though it is kinda of it's own fault for making a show a near cut copy of the Cowboy Bebop and Outlaw Star universe =/ Damn JP not allowing another country to use an awesome idea D:

If a lawsuit from Japanese interests were any kind of factor at all, it would have been cited there in some way, shape or form.

While some of the base elements from early episodes of the show are clearly inspired by/taken from some of Outlaw Star's opening moments, the show has nothing to do with Cowboy Bebop and aren't even remotely similar outside of being space faring sagas.

Firefly is also better than either of those animes.
