My little Rant. Empty
PostSubject: My little Rant.   My little Rant. EmptyThu Jul 17, 2008 10:22 am

After a meeting I have just had with management I believe there is something I need to rant about, even if its just to clear my own mind and get it out my system

Honesty, respect, and truthfullness.

3 Qualities I think are dearly undertaken by most individuals. If you have a problem, you approach it directly, not involve undeeded third parties, correct? Well, generally thats how you would solve it, after all, who wants to involve those who dont need to be.

Well, today, I am extremly pissed off with my own team. Someone made a complaint (Well, not so much a complaint but more a comment and have decided to go to Management about it, and as such, they have talked to me about it, causing, unneeded embarrasement to myself, and to themselves.

Now I dont blame management, they are only doing what they have been asked to do, no blame lays with them, no.

It lays with the person who has made the issue, which, if they had come to me, would have been solved instantly. But instead, the person has now complicated the issues and has now made it a team issue.

Something which could have been easilly sorted in 5 mins between individuals is now going to drag on for weeks. And involve multiple unneeded people.

I dont see a reason for people to not apporach someone, especilly if you work with them in a daily basis. I see no point in such treachery, for such a minor matter too.

So, when I find who this person is (Because I will) I am going to be dealing with it appropriatly and giving the person a piece of my mind!

I find this totally unacceptable, especilly in the surroundings I am.

Well, thats my rant. Sorry to bug you all, you can dismiss this if you want, but, I just wanted to shit this all out my system because I shit it on there heads.

i understand why you're upset, but alot of companies make it clear in their rules that if you have a complaint or problem with someone to tell a manager, regardless of how small or insignificant it is, and that you arnt allowed to deal with it yourself. I don't necessarily think thats the right way to do it, but maybe thats why they told a manager instead of you

Apparantly, the manager was even confused why it had got to him. He said he really shouldnt have had to get involved, that the person should have seen me directly instead of going to them.

And this had been made clear to all emplyees that unless they need to management need nto get involved.

So thats not the case.
